QUEUES are mounting in a major road after a crash involving a car and a van in North Yorkshire.
John Metcalf Way, close to Rudding Park in Harrogate, has closed in both directions after a crash at around 3.40pm today.
According to a spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service: "Crews assisted to extricate a casualty from vehicle using cutting equipment. The casualty was left in care of paramedics."
Traffic is currently queueing in both directions from Pannal Road to Haggs Road.

We're currently dealing with a collision on the A658 at the junction with Rudding Lane.
The A658 is closed between the Kestrel roundabout and Buttersyke bar roundabout.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
