A television singing star will perform to encourage people to use green spaces more in a North Yorkshire church.
Nadia Eide will be accompanied on stage by local children as she brings her national tour to Selby Abbey on December 11.
“The show features a real mix of songs and styles which are sure to spread festive joy and get us all in the mood for Christmas,” she said. “I am thrilled to feature local talent from performing academies up and down the country. It’s so important to keep inspiring children to sing whilst teaching them the importance of looking after our planet.”
Nadia shot to national fame when she competed in ITV’s The Voice 2021. The classically-trained soprano with a singing range of four and a half octaves includes opera and musical theatre in her repertoire.
Now she is using her singing abilities to highlight the work of the Earth Trust environmental charity for which she is an ambassador with her Winter Light national tour.
Her concerts in churches and cathedrals across the country raise money and awareness of the charity which inspires people to address climate, biodiversity and wellbeing with the power of natural green spaces and work towards a society where nature and people work in harmony.
The concert starts at 7pm and tickets are available through www.nadiaeide.com
