THIEVES have targeted new-build properties on a Selby housing estate, police say.
North Yorkshire Police said large appliances were stolen from two new build houses broken into on the construction site in the Staynor estate in Selby between 4.30pm on Friday, November 15 and 7am on November 16.
The force said an Enterprise van was sighted in the area around 5.35am on Saturday, November 16 and are asking members of the public if they have any information about this vehicle or any suspicious people in the area at the time.
Police said they are appealing for information, particularly about any suspicious vehicles on Bracken Way, travelling on the estate, towards or away from the building site.
A force spokesperson said: “If you have a video doorbell or CCTV that may cover the area, or any other information that could help our investigation, please email john.morris@northyorkshire.police.uk.
Alternatively, you can call North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option two and ask for PC 1619 John Morris or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their website.
