Businesses across York and North Yorkshire are being invited to take part in a week-long festival designed to celebrate and showcase the support that is available to them.

The inaugural York Business Festival will run from Monday, November 25 to Friday, November 29 and will feature events and talks as well as opportunities to connect and network.

The festival is being sponsored by Green Economy, which helps businesses to decarbonise with advice, training and support.

Sustainability Consultant Suhail Ahmed said: "Green Economy is delighted to be supporting York Business Festival, which celebrates the brightest and best entrepreneurs and businesses this vibrant region has to offer.

“We’re excited to learn more about where sustainability sits on their agenda and to provide reassurance that support and guidance is available locally to help them implement or develop their plans, no matter their size, scale or sector. Our goal is to make net zero add value to businesses, and this event provides the perfect opportunity to help businesses consider how decarbonisation can deliver operational and cost efficiencies, whilst also embedding long-term sustainability and competitiveness."
