A man is to appear in court to face a charge of causing the death of a York academic by careless driving after a crash on the Isle of Wight two years ago.
A 58-year-old man is due to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, December 10.
Police have not yet named the man.
On Sunday, June 5, 2022, Simon McQueen-Mason died in a crash in Shorwell on the island.

Police were called around 10.15am that day to reports that a cyclist travelling on Main Road had collided with a Land Rover Freelander, near the junction with New Barn Lane.
Mr McQueen-Mason was pronounced dead by medical experts a short time later.
Mr McQueen-Mason was a university professor and former chair of Materials Biology at the Centre for Novel Agricultural Products at the University of York.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said in a statement: "A 58-year-old man from Shorwell has been issued a postal requisition for causing death by careless driving.
"He is due to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court on December 10."
