THE winner of The Press Best Curry House 2024 has been revealed.
Former winner Parvin Indian, York Road, has been named the champion once again. The competition saw it beat nine other curry houses across York, as readers picked up copies of The Press to vote for their favourite.
"We're absolutely thrilled and honoured to be named The Press Best Curry House," owner Safiqur Rahman said.
"This recognition is a testament to the hard work, passion, and dedication our entire team puts in everyday.
"We're incredibly grateful to our loyal customers for their continued support & for voting for us."
After winning the same competition in 2017, Parvin has added another 'Best Curry House' title to its trophy cabinet.
When asked why the restaurant been so successful, Mr Rahman added: "We believe our success is a result of our commitment to using only the finest, freshest ingredients, coupled with traditional cooking techniques and innovative flavours.
"We strive to create a memorable dining experience for every guest, from the moment they walk through our doors to the last bite of their meal.
"Our warm and welcoming atmosphere, combined with our friendly service also plays a significant role in setting us apart. Our Christmas day service this year got sold out in record time that just shows how popular we are.
"We are a community based restaurant and rely heavily on our community so we try and help many different local organisations in any way we can."
Mr Rahman said that the restaurant is "constantly striving to improve and innovate".
