FRESH weather warnings have been issued for York.
The city woke to heavy snow this morning which has caused widespread disruption.
But now Storm Bert is set to bring heavy rain in the snow's wake as temperatures start to rise.
A yellow warning for snow and rain has been issued.
It says: 'Heavy snow on Saturday, followed by a rapid thaw and subsequent rain on Saturday night, may cause some disruption'
What should I expect?
There is a small chance that power cuts will occur and other services, such as mobile phone coverage, may be affected
There is a slight chance that some rural communities could become cut off
There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings
Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services
Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures
There is a small chance of fast flowing or deep floodwater causing danger to life
There is a small chance of travel delays on roads with some stranded vehicles and passengers, along with delayed or cancelled rail and air travel.
