Front Street in Acomb to close from today until Tuesday

Front Street in Acomb, between its junctions with York Road and Green Lane, will be closed from today (Saturday November 23) until Tuesday, November 26.

This is the latest in a string of closures and is for highway maintenance works to take place.

The closure on Front Street. (Image: Newsquest) “This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely,” said a spokesperson for City of York Council.

Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibition and work could finish earlier, depending on when the works are completed.
