The Kirk Theatre in Pickering has shared details of a number of festive events.

On Friday, November 30, 'A Night of Adrenaline and Inspiration: Brit Rock Films 2024' will take place, hosted by Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team (SRMRT).

The event, featuring a number of climbing and adventure films (including Nose Job, Climbing Blind II, and Freja's Back), will raise funds for the SRMRT.

Tickets are £11, with the night starting at 7.30pm and doors opening for refreshments from 6.30pm.

On Wednesday, December 4, Pop-Up Cinema Yorkshire will host a screening of American comedy-drama film, 'Thelma.'

The film will be shown at 2.30pm and 7.30pm, with doors opening one hour before each showing.

Tickets are £7.50 and concessions are £6.

The following day, Thursday, December 5, will see a Christmas Singalong by Thornton Le Dale Ukuleles at 7.30pm.

Tickets for the Christmas Singalong are not available via the Kirk Theatre, but can instead be purchased from the following locations: Wardill Brothers (The Square, Thornton Le Dale), Television House (19 Market Place, Pickering), and Massers Camera Shop (30 Wheelgate, Malton).

Funds raised will go to the Samaritans of Scarborough.

On Friday, December 6, the theatre will present 'A Christmas Carol,' adapted and directed by Nick Hennegan, with original music by Robb Williams.

The performance, starring Olivier Award winner Guy Masterson ('Under Milk Wood,' 'Animal Farm,' 'Shylock'), will start at 7.30pm.

Finally, on Friday, December 13, Ryedale School's Music Concert will take place, presented by The Rotary Club of Pickering & District and Ryedale School Performing Arts.

The concert will feature performances by Ryedale Concert Band, Shining Brass, and Ryedale Stray Notes.

Doors open at 6pm, with the show starting at 7pm.

Tickets cost £9, or £6 for students in full-time education, with all proceeds going to Ryedale School and The Rotary.
