A CHIP pan fire in an East Yorkshire town has been put out by a neighbour with a tea towel.
Humberside Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to a property in Washington Street, Driffield at around 5.30pm last night (Monday, November 25).
A service spokesperson said the chip pan fire within the property was extinguished prior to the arrival of the Fire Service by a neighbour using a tea towel.
The spokesperson added that fire crew ventilated the property and that the fire damage had been contained.
