The winners of The StudentCrowd Student Voice Awards are determined and judged entirely by reviews left by verified student accounts left across a 12-month period.

Properties are judged on factors including value for money, property management, location, social spaces, cleaning and WiFi.

Scott Lewis, Chief Operating Officer at Homes for Students said: “The award winners are decided by ‘the voice of the crowd’ so to be recognised as overall winners and in second place as the best property in York is really something to celebrate.

“All of the properties we have in the city are unique and there is something to suit all budgets and needs. We’re incredibly proud of our teams throughout the UK and Ireland working hard in all the  properties we manage to create the best ‘home away from home’ for residents.”

In a statement, Homes for Student provided student reviews with them saying ABODE “fantastic accommodation” and facilities. Its staff and location were also lauded.

Students also praised ABODE, saying it was “great for money”, adding its social areas helped them make new friends.
