A WOMAN and two men have been arrested following raids in East Yorkshire.

Humberside Police say the trio are currently in custody after officers executed warrants at four addresses in Beverley on Monday (November 25).

A force spokesman said it is part of efforts to disrupt and dismantle organised crime with officers from the Humberside's kinetic intervention team, proactive and neighbourhood policing teams raiding four addresses in and around Beverley.

Simultaneous warrants were executed at addresses on Greenwood Gardens, Waltham court, Hodgeson Avenue and Nornabell Drive, where officers seized weapons, a quantity of suspected controlled drugs, and approximately £3,000 in cash.

As a result a 20-year old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs class A.

A 64-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs class A.

A 21-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs class A.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs class A and possession with intent to supply class B drugs. He since has been released on conditional bail whilst our enquiries continue.

Detective Sergeant Jack Downs from our Kinetic Intervention Team said: “Whilst we target organised criminals on a daily basis, days like these allow us to intensify our disruption and have a large impact in a shorter space of time.

“It’s important we’re taking dangerous substances out of our communities, not only because these are illegal, but as drug dealing often comes with violence, disorder and anti-social behaviour.

“I would like to thank the public for their support as without community information, we couldn’t have the impact we have. Investigations relating to organised crime can be lengthy and complex and enforcement may not be taken immediately, but I would like to reassure you that everything we receive helps us to build a bigger picture and ultimately bring people to justice.

"We continue to take reports of drug activity seriously and would encourage anyone with information or concerns, to speak to your local officer, call into your nearest station or call us on our non-emergency 101 line.

"If you’d rather not give your name, you can also report information anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111. If someone is in immediate danger, always call 999."
