The Brighouse and Rastrick Band will perform a special concert at York Minster next month.
The event, on Saturday, December 14, will feature a range of Christmas classics - "as well as one or two surprises."
A spokesperson for the band added: "The Brighouse and Rastrick Band is renowned not only for its highly entertaining concert performances, but also for its success in the competitive world of brass band contests.
"Frequently featuring among the very top contenders, and with a long history of major championship victories, it is safe to say it is one of the world’s finest bands."
The band's 1977 hit, 'The Floral Dance,' earned it Silver and Gold Discs.
According to the website of York Minster, the hit held the number two position in the British singles chart for nine weeks.
Formed in 1881, the Brighouse and Rastrick Band remains independent and supported entirely by the public, without obligations to any outside organisation or sponsor.
Tickets for December's concert range from £15 to £35, with more information available on the York Minster website at https://yorkminster.org/whats-on/event/brighouse-rastrick-band/
Tickets can also be booked from York Minster's booking team via phone on 01904 557200.
