A MAN has been arrested in Scarborough in connection with a string of offences.
North Yorkshire Police have shared the story behind the arrest of a 29-year-old man in Scarborough, who was arrested on suspicion of multiple offences after the theft of a vehicle
Officers responded to reports of a vehicle being stolen from a driveway in Scarborough last night (November 28) and encountered it being driven away from the town.

After spotting the police, the driver is said to have ‘sped away’ – crashing into a parked car – before dumping the vehicle close to Main Street.
“A 29-year-old man from Scarborough was found nearby in possession of a balaclava, Xanax, cannabis, and an On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) device,” said a spokesperson.
The man was then arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, going equipped for theft, dangerous driving, and possession of Class B and Class C drugs.
Once in custody, he was also arrested for cultivating a Class B drug after a cannabis grow was located at a property earlier this month.
He remains in custody for questioning.
