A POPULAR coffee shop is set to open its doors on a new location.

Caffe Nero is set to return to York Designer Outlet from today (November 29) with a new and improved store – having closed its previous shop.

The new site is set to be ‘much bigger’ than the previous one, offering 102 seats, outdoor seating, and a new ‘convenient location’ - placed just inside the West entrance.

This is one of a number of festive openings planned before the end of the year.

Paul Tyler, centre manager of the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet York, said: "We're delighted to welcome three new openings to the Centre, just in time for the festive season: Castore, Crocs, and Caffè Nero. 

“We know our guests will particularly love seeing the return of Caffè Nero, in their new larger unit which includes an external seating area.

“The new location offers a perfect spot to relax and refuel amidst the excitement of Christmas shopping. With these fantastic new stores and a host of festive activities, including our Elf Run on the 8th December, and our charity Toy Appeal, we're creating a truly magical Christmas experience for everyone."

A spokesperson for Caffe Nero said: “We’re delighted to reopen in York McArthur Glen. It’s a fantastic area and we’re pleased to be back serving our loyal customers our speciality hand crafted coffee.

“Our new store in now in a great location at the West entrance, making it a lot easier for customers, and it has an updated look and feel which really creates a warm welcoming atmosphere.  We’ve opened just in time for Christmas and our new festive menu will delight everyone out Christmas shopping, or who’s looking for a tasty treat.”
