Some of the best places for pastries in York
One person replied: ”CS (Cosgriff and Sons) sourdough opposite Clifford's tower! You have to go early as they sell out, but their pastries are gorgeous. They're on insta if you want to check their creations out.”
This user shared: “Little Arras - Almond Coissant and cinnamon buns are the bomb.”
Someone also said: “Little Arras is my top pick.”
While another recommended both, writing: “Little Arras do amazing pastries and cakes.
“Cosgriff and Sons opposite Clifford’s Tower.”
They also suggested Flori which they described as “great”.
Flori, as well as Little Arras and Cosgriff and Sons received multiple comments from residents.
But Little Arras has also been dubbed a “little gem” on Tripadvisor by one recent visitor.
They posted: “We only found this fab coffee shop on our last day otherwise we would have been there everyday! The coffee is the best we’ve had in a long time, and the cakes looked amazing. Quite different. We bought 2 lovely sourdough loaves for £3.10 each, which round our way would probably cost nearly a fiver each!”
Elsewhere on the Reddit thread where many were sharing their favourite places for a pastry, a local thinks Bluebird “on the corner of the market” is the place to go.
Additionally, this member of the r/York subreddit commented: “Have you tried the orange plaits that they have at La Bottega on Goodramgate. Divine!!!”
Another agreed: “La Bottega should definitely be up there. Vi in Spark does some really good pastries.”
