The trial date has been set for two men accused of murdering one man in York and injuring a second.
Michael Mulvana, 31, and Jobie Tyers, 27, are alleged to have killed Indrit Mustafaj, 26, on November 23.
A second man is in hospital following an incident in the Haxby Road area a week ago that led to police finding Mr Mustafaj’s body and arresting the two defendants.
They appeared before the Recorder of Leeds, Judge Guy Kearl KC, for a preliminary hearing today (Monday, December 2).
Both are charged with murdering Mr Mustafaj, of Bradford, and wounding a second man with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm.
Neither Mulvana, of Bright Street, off Leeman Road, nor Tyers, of Gate Helmsley, was asked to enter a plea.
Judge Kearl set a provisional trial date of June 3 and barristers for the prosecution and defence told him the trial would take between two and three weeks.
Mulvana and Tyers appeared at Leeds Crown Court via video link from HMP Hull to which they had been remanded in custody at their first court appearance, which was before York Magistrates' Court last Thursday.
Neither made a bail application and they were both remanded in custody.
Their case was adjourned until a plea and trial preparation hearing on December 19 at Leeds Crown Court when they will be expected to enter their pleas to the charge.
The trial will be held at the same court.
