A MAN has been arrested after a road rage incident on the M62, police said.
North Yorkshire Police said the incident involved two vans and happened east of Junction 34 of the M62 at Whitley Bridge at approximately 8.40am yesterday (December 3).
A force spokesperson said: “The two vans collided in lane three of the motorway.
“Following the collision, it is reported that one of the parties assaulted the other on the hard shoulder before driving away.
“Later that day a man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of theft, assault, dangerous driving and failing to stop.
“He was interviewed and later released under investigation.”
North Yorkshire Police has issued an appeal, saying “We’re appealing for any witnesses to the collision or the aftermath, anyone who may have seen the vehicles prior to the collision, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to email josh.hocken@northyorkshire.polic.uk or call 101 and quote reference 12240220503 when passing on information.
