This side of the city has large youth populations and next to nothing in the way of community sports and leisure facilities. Real 21st century facilities for ordinary York people, I mean. Not privately run clubs or those for privileged and influential groups with a nodding acknowledgement to local communities!
Clifton, Clifton Moor, Rawcliffe, Wigginton, Haxby, Strensall, Earswicks, Skelton, Poppletons and surrounding villages would all benefit.
The empty grain store site on Clifton Moor would be ideally situated. Why not? If there was the will to get the land and make it happen, it would. A really hard challenge to test the honest grit of the LIB Dems, backed by ward and parish councils along with Hugh Bailey and other local MPs?
Let us know we count, with a joint commitment before we vote!
