I seriously recommend that anybody in political or religious leadership should read and make a serious public statement about how they relate it to their own position, if at all, before elections.
I refer to the statement featured in the York Press (2nd May) by the head master of Bootham School, York. It laid out, for parents of potential future pupils, how the School with its Quaker connection, approaches the teaching of its pupils and their preparation for life in the community afterwards.
It needs to be read in full and, for those who missed it, the Press may decide to reprint the text free? The Mayfair took the same message to North America in the 17th century where the same exercise would also be of benefit.
