THE forecast may have been gloomy – but TV weatherman John Kettley was still in a sunny mood as he braved the York downpours.
The meteorological stalwart arrived at the city’s Waterstone’s bookshop yesterday to meet fans and sign copies of his new book, as well as stepping outside to check out the soggy December conditions for himself.
Halifax-born John’s book – Weatherman: 50 Years Of Extreme Weather – looks back on his career as a familiar face on the nation’s TV screens, and recounts some of the harshest weather conditions the UK has had to contend with, as well as offering his views on climate change.
