Having known Rory Johnson on a professional basis and as a friend, it is devastating news to hear of this young man’s death when he was in the prime of his life (Mystery death of “fit” York teenager, The Press, November 26).
He led life to the full and strived hard in his chosen areas of football and running. Rory had a wicked sense of humour and always had a big smile on his face, and was the nicest son and brother his family could have had.
My deepest, heartfelt sympathy goes out to Rory’s family at this sad time, following his death from this most rare of diseases, ADEM, that took this young man’s life at only 18 years of age.
May they know that they are not alone at this difficult time, and may they feel the sympathy and friendship of those who share their loss.
