MITRE had Rich Corner (18, 20), John Quantock (180 for 16) and Steve Evans (19) playing well in the John Smith’s Men’s Darts League.
However, Acomb’s Adam Thompson (180), Mark Mason (15), Steve Atkin (16) and Lee Brundrett (180) ensured a 6-3 win for their side.
Shepherd’s Mark Hartley (16), Gaz Witty (18 & 180), John Mooring (21), Rich Saville (21) and Shaun Day (17 & 180 for 19) took advantage of the leaders’ slip-up winning 7-2 at Crescent, whose best was Kel Frankel (18), to go top.
St Paul’s had Paul Botterill (19), Chris Thompson (15, 17), Dave Mason (20), Liam Blows (18), Paul Dixon (16 & 180) and Paul Cropper (21 & 180) playing well, but Greyhound won 5-4 thanks to Stu Limbert (17, 21), Steve Limbert (21) and Dave Ginty (180).
Division two leaders Crescent extended their lead with an 8-1 win over Shepherd’s, their best being Shane Hurst (22) and Ken Smith (23).
Fulfordgate’s Steve Franklin (18, 22) and Mark Greenley (17, 23) helped their team move into second spot with a 9-0 win at Turf, whose Sam Linguard (21) played well.
Tree’s best were Craig Harman (23) and Rob Speed (24) in a 5-4 win over Britannia despite the efforts of Steve Snowden (19) and Rob Carr (22).
Division three leaders Ainsty had Steve Spence (22) playing well in an 8-1 win at Acomb.
