A THIRD man will appear in court today accused of killing the Chinese national whose body was found in a canal near Burn, Selby, nearly a year ago.
Wang Shaozhe, 23, from Dong Bei, China, was yesterday charged with murdering Chen Cai Guan.
Two other men, Bao Lung Huang, 44, of Fujian, China and Zhouli Zhang, 49, of Dong Bei, China, were charged with the same offence in December and are expected to stand trial at Leeds Crown Court later this year.
Mr Chen, 38, originally from Fujian, China, was living in the UK under the name of Bing Lin. His body was found in the canal on March 20 last year by an off-duty police officer while he was fishing between Brayton and Burn. It was not clear how long the body had been in the water. Wang was in custody last night after he was charged.
