Malton’S Phil Hart and Simon Weatherill (0 handicap) won the York Conservative Clubs’ Dave Burdett Snooker Pairs Trophy when they came from behind to win two black-ball games and beat Bootham’s Lee Bunce and Brendan Ledgeway (431 h/c) 2-1 at Heworth.
Ledgeway and Bunce took early command and won the first frame 93-39.
They led 53-1 and Ledgeway had a chance to seal the second frame, but the Malton pair rallied to win 66-59 before completing their recovery with a 75-67 win in the third in which Weatherill scored all 75 points.
