THEY might not be in Kansas, but these children from Year 5 at Yearsley Grove School are having a great time with their production of the Wizard Of Oz.
Their version of the Judy Garland 1939 classic is bound to have audiences in a whirlwind of laughter if our photo of their dress rehearsal is anything to go by and with the 70th anniversary of the film having just passed, the play is attracting a lot of attention.
Laura Beckett, the teacher behind the production, said: “The children have really got into the Wizard Of Oz and have loved learning the parts, we’ve been rehearsing since before Christmas, during and after school so fingers crossed it goes well.”
