Allegedly, due to all the festivals that have been happening throughout the year, the City Council have decided to organise a Christmas party to celebrate their success.
With it being a Christmas party the Council has decided to hold it in February as it is a quieter time of year and they expect fewer crowds.
The dates to be discussed are the 30th and the 31st of February as currently there are plenty of bookings available at York restaurants for both these dates.
Due to parking restrictions in the City the Council are proposing to use the free car park adjoined to their offices.
Transport to and from the car park should not be a problem as Ann Reid is (allegedly) to arrange for all the traffic lights to be programmed to turn green when private vehicles owned by the Council approach them on the way to the venue.
As for the venue itself, the Council propose to look into a centrally located building with a capacity to cater for the expected numbers. It is believed (allegedly) that the Barbican is currently at the top of the list.
Who says this couldn't happen?
