Rides are planned throughout April, May and June with the aim of helping families and inexperienced cyclists get into riding.
Paul Ramskill, group leader for Cycling City York, said: “Now the sun is shining and the weather is warmer, there’s no better time to get out on your bike and explore some of York’s hidden gems. All you have to do is turn up with your bike and the rides are ideal for anyone who wants to build up their confidence.”
Each event will be run by a group of trained ride leaders with the first taking place today, starting from the Millennium Bridge at 10am. For more details, visit www.york.gov.uk/cycling
