CHURCH services today at York Minster include Good Friday liturgy at 10am, a Three Hours on the Cross service of devotion starting at noon, Evensong at 5.15pm and the annual Good Friday Churches Together service at 7.30pm.
In Selby, Churches Together will hold a “walk of witness” meeting at St Mary’s R C Church at 11.15am to leave for the Market Square at 11.30am. It will be followed by a Good Friday liturgy at Selby Abbey and veneration of the cross from 1.30pm.
Ripon Cathedral will hold choral matins and litany at 9.30am, a three hour devotion from 12pm and a 7.30pm Good Friday liturgy service.
