I BELIEVE that we should carry an ID card which carries your photo, your name and address, next of kin and NI number, as in France.
Simple, free and effective, as no retailer will accept cheques or cards without its showing.
Chip and PIN proved far from fraud-free; what is? This is a better way. I spent half of the last eight years in France, it works. I recommend it to the house.
