John Reid, the new Home Secretary, is a busy man. He somehow has to sort out the shambles that is the Home Office.
But while he does that, he mustn't forget his main priority: ensuring our streets are safe.
The news he is taking seriously our campaign for a change in the law over child abduction is, therefore, very welcome.
He may have other things on his mind. But, as far as we're concerned, there is nothing more important than ensuring that in future our children are safe from predators like Terry Delaney.
