EGGBOROUGH Eagles successfully defended their Selby Fasprint Table Tennis division one status by beating Thorpe Mambas.
The Eagles trio of Paul Dykes, Chris White and Ian McKenna proved too strong for James Atkins, Mike Jackson and Simon Belton, although some sets did go to four and five games.
The Selby Fasprint Handicap League final saw Womersley beat Selby Working Men's Club 392-336.
Roy Crossland, Wendy Silvester and Russ Clarkson got Womersley off to a fantastic start, and after four sets they were 55 points up.
Despite the best efforts of Bernard Wales, Roger Ellis and Geoff Harrop, that lead remained with the following five sets being virtually even.
The quiz night and presentations will be held on Thursday, June 8, and the Selby League annual meeting on Thursday, June 15. Both are at Eggborough Sports and Social Club and start at 7.30pm.
