I PARKED in Tesco's car park at Askham Bar on Wednesday, May 31, at about 6.10pm.
On returning to my car (a red Nissan Almera) I discovered the car that had been parked next to me had managed to scrape a relatively large area of paint off my back bumper.
The people who had parked in the vacated space informed me that the car was likely to have been a small, blue vehicle, but they knew no more. The driver had not been considerate enough to leave a note.
Tesco has advised me that the CCTV in the car park is used intermittently, so I am unable to trace the person who has caused the damage.
If the person who caused the damage is reading this letter and feeling even slightly remorseful, perhaps they would contact me through the Press because I will have to pay to repair the damage. You will know what you have done as no doubt you have red paint on your blue car!
