IN reply to a letter from Miss J France (Grateful York, May 30), I fail to see how this lady can say "this is a great bus that we are lucky to have" when she doesn't even use this waste of money. I refer to the absolutely useless ftr.
I have travelled again on this service and once again got a free ride because no money would enter the cash machine again holding up the service while people tried to pay in vain.
I wonder if Mr Edwards, of First, would like to tell us residents, in relation to the extravagant amount of money this fiasco has cost, how much revenue First have lost on free rides due to mechanical failure and people giving up on this service.
Or will he take his friend Coun Steve Galloway's line in dealing with York residents and simply ignore them?
