EVERY match requires an army of helpers to get the game on - and the Knights are looking for new volunteers to swell the ranks.
They are looking for a new squad of ball boys and girls to keep the action moving on the pitch.
Between six and eight youngsters help at every home match.
Potential ballkids need to be aged between nine and 16, and have an enthusiastic and helpful attitude.
Both new and old youngsters are asked to call the Knights office on 01904 758234 by 5pm on Wednesday.
An induction session will then be held and a rota drawn up for the remaining home games starting with Gateshead next weekend.
The club are also appealing for adult volunteers to pitch-in on matchdays.
Would-be volunteers need to be able to get to the club half an hour before the gates open to help with tasks such as selling programmes.
Something for the weekend
After three games in a row it must be time for another week off.
But if you still need to get your Knights fix then head down to York Acorn on Thanet Road.
More than half the squad will be in the hot seat along with a number of former players to face questions from fans.
The event starts at 1pm as a curtain raiser to the NRC final, which will be shown on the big screen at 3pm.
Entry is free, all under-16s must be with an adult and money raised will go into the Knights scholarship scheme.
