THE World Angling Championships were held in Finland over the weekend.
Once again, Team England became champions of the world, with a team member taking the bronze medal.
Where was the great report in our local paper? Not in the angling column or the sports pages.
If this had been a football final, however miniscule, there would have been at least a two-page spread over the sports pages.
Just what does the England Angling team have to do to get the recognition it rightly deserves?
After all, it's record over the past 20 years pales all other sports into insignificance.
