The Yards have a new single in the shops and available for download from Monday, via Industrial Erotica Records/Snapper Music.
A radio edit of Forget Your Regrets, the lead-off track from April's self-titled debut album, will be accompanied by the York five-piece's live acoustic version of Get Off My Back.
The A-side popped up on the soundtrack to the laddish Channel 4 drama series, Teachers, while the B-side is the first recording from last October's charity concert at York Minster in aid of International Service's work to support street children in Brazil. The whole concert was recorded, and further selections may follow on forthcoming releases.
The Yards are on the road again, playing the Guilfest Festival tomorrow; Newcastle Cluny next Friday; Manchester Roadhouse, July 25; Nottingham Social, July 27; and closer to home, the Blakey Festival, July 28, and Fibbers, York, on July 29.
