FEW bands can have taken as many drugs, drunk as much booze or indulged in as much sex as outrageous 80s glam-rockers Motley Crue, the undisputed kings of rock-star excess.
Sadly, their songs are nearly as bad as their poodle haircuts and it is insulting they have shifted more than 40 million albums. Admittedly, they were very much of their time, when 'cool' rock videos consisted of Harley Davidsons being revved outside strip bars and pole dancers galore.
This hits package has coincided with the band's money-spinning reunion and world tour. The best tracks, among them Girls, Girls, Girls and Dr Feelgood, could still fill a dancefloor at any 80s-themed disco, but play power ballad Home Sweet Home at your peril.
