JUMP off one of the tallest buildings in York for the sake of the kids.
But make sure that you have an abseil rope with you at the same time!
Forty staff members at Norwich Union, York, plan to abseil off the 100ft-high roof of their six-storey building, Yorkshire House, on August 14, in aid of six children's charities.
They are looking for 60 members of the public to join them on this venture, which has never been attempted before.
With a £10 registration fee and a commitment from each abseiler to raise £75 worth of sponsorship, that could bring in more than £8,000 to be shared between Norwich Union's staff charity, Make A Wish, Barnardos, Childline, Kith and Kids, MedEquip 4 Kids and Dreams Come True.
One of the jumpers, secretarial assistant Rachel Myler, said: "This will be my first ever abseil, but I'm not worried because naturally, we'll all be insured!"
If any other daredevil wants to take the leap, phone David Jones, of Norwich Union Life, on 07729 844615.
