YOUNG football fans will be given the opportunity to visit the homes of Champions League winners Liverpool and Premiership giants Manchester United by the York City Football in the Community team this summer.
Guided tours of Anfield and Old Trafford have been scheduled as part of the Holiday Club programme, which will run through the six-week summer holiday from Monday July, 25 to Friday, September 2 at Lowfields School.
The club is being run by the Minstermen in conjunction with York City Council and financed by a £15,000 Lottery grant.
It is targeted at eight to 16-year-olds and will run from 8am to 6pm, costing £12 per day.
A separate football course will also run at Lowfields during the holidays from 10am to 3pm for two weeks. Similar courses will be held at Poppleton, Stamford Bridge, Copmanthorpe and Kroda Chemicals in Selby with players due to visit all the venues.
The club are also hoping to hear from any young City supporters who would like to celebrate their birthday party at KitKat Crescent.
All parties, which can be held on any weekday from 4.30pm, include a tour of the ground and an hour's football in the gym followed by party food.
The birthday boy or girl will receive an autographed football with every child receiving goody bags, which will include a voucher to see a City game.
A maximum of 16 children can attend the party, which costs £70 or £90 if the football is replaced by an autographed City shirt.
Anybody interested in any of the above should contact City's Football in the Community officer Paul Olsson on 01904 613017 or 07710 258636.
