Several brave Knights will be putting themselves in the line of fire on their weekend off next Sunday at local club York Acorn.
Half the squad will be facing their fans in a question and answer session set-up to raise money for the York City Knights Academy on July 17.
So if you've ever wondered what Darren Callaghan's favourite colour is, Mick Ramsden's rundown on next season's Super League or Lee Jackson's vision for world peace, then this could be the chance you've been waiting for to cure those sleep-preventing puzzles.
Entry is free, all under-16s must be accompanied by an adult and it all kicks off at 1pm, followed by the National Rail Cup final between Hull KR and Castleford Tigers on the big screen at 3pm.
Some of the mouthwatering raffle prizes include Sean Long's signed St Helens playing shirt from last season and an Ian Knott Warrington shirt, and there will also be a barbecue.
The event has been fixed up in a joint venture between Mike Miller of the York City Knights Supporters' Club and the Thanet Road venue.
Call York Acorn on 01904 330351 to find out more.
LOOKING a bit further ahead, the Knights supporters club are holding an 80s disco night on July 23 in the stadium bar starting at 7.30.
The tickets are £5 for supporters club members, £7 for non-members and £2 for under 16s, this is to include a chicken and chips supper and a late bar. Tickets must be purchased in advance and can be bought from Tony Brown and Mike Miller at the Swinton match tomorrow or from Big Ian on 07808 139533 or post on the Knights forum.
How about this for a weird weekend.
The Knights scored eight tries on Sunday, the day after Live 8 and in the run up to the G8 summit. There were eight separate scorers - Peter Fox, Chris Levy, Yusuf Sozi, David Bates, Jonny Liddell, Chris Ross and Ian Kirke all got tries while Paul Thorman kicked five conversions.
The final score was 44-16. 4 and 4 makes 8, and 16 is 2x8.
If you add up the numbers of the date - 3+7+2+0+0+5 it makes 17... add those together and you get eight.
And the man of the match? Yusuf Sozi, number eight.
So there you have it. More eights than a subtitles convention. For anyone still not convinced, check how many times that number is used before this paragraph.
