TERRORISTS today struck at the heart of the nation's capital as a series of bomb blasts ripped through London.
Scores of casualties, including fatalities, were reported with eye-witnesses reporting seeing bodies piled in the wreckage of damaged Tube trains.
At least seven explosions ripped through London today in a series of terrorist strikes leaving dozens feared dead and crippling the capital.
Prime Minister Tony Blair said it is "reasonably clear there have been a series of terrorist attacks".
A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said there have been reports of six explosions at Tube stations at Edgware Road, King's Cross, Liverpool Street, Russell Square, Aldgate East and Moorgate, and one confirmed explosion on a bus.
And a rescue operation was mounted at Kings Cross station after a blast in a tunnel.
