AS German students visiting York from June 11 to 17, we had many fears. What if the English were polite but reserved or we could not adapt to the your lifestyle?
But, most of all, what if we were bored in our free time and we were not able to communicate?
But the complete opposite was true. The food was very tasty.
Helpful and likeable families made it easy for us to get used to English traditions. All the Yorkshire people were outgoing and warm-hearted and even the pets were nice. But, unfortunately, the weather was very English so our best companion was our umbrella. Nevertheless, we made the best of it and enjoyed the trip.
Special thanks to our local organiser Mrs Jan Moore and our host families. We are very happy to have had the chance to get to know the beautiful Yorkshire region.
