YORK Cricket Club faces another busy weekend starting with a visit to Sheffield United at Bawtry Road tomorrow. (July 2)
Although only a mid-table outfit, the South Yorkshire side have an attack capable of troubling leaders York so it is not a fixture York skipper Marcus Wood will be taking lightly.
On Sunday York receive Methley from the Central Yorkshire League in a second round Black Sheep Yorkshire Champions fixture.
York expect to be unchanged tomorrow which means that fast bowler Nick Thornicroft will be available from his Essex duties. On Sunday, Mike Mortimer replaces Simon Mason, who will be playing Minor Counties for Lincolnshire.
Clifton Park will stage a quarter-final Myers and Burnell Cup tie on Monday evening between Heworth and Woodhouse Grange. Umpires will be Paul Wilkinson and Della Rebours.
