Heworth spin king Pete Tasker delivered six of the best to destroy Ovington in a Hirepoint Under-13 League match.
Pete, 12, finished with fantastic figures of 6-0 during a devastating two-over spell that also saw him bowl a hat-trick.
The All Saints pupil inspired Heworth to a 102-run triumph as Ovington collapsed from 39-1 to 41 all out.
His victims in the first-over hat-trick were caught behind, stumped and caught in the field.
Pete then had two more Ovington players stumped and caught behind in consecutive deliveries during his next over before a dot ball was followed by another catch in the field to complete his six-wicket haul.
His slow right-arm spin bowling means Heworth are now in a strong position to claim a Minster Zone championship play-off place.
Pete recently visited the Spin Clinic, held by Costcutter and York Cricket Club, where former Australian test star Ashley Mallett was suitably impressed with his unique style.
Sean Tasker, Pete's father, said: "He bowls out of the back of his hand and Ashley Mallett told him that was unorthodox but not to change because he does it naturally. Most young lads like to bowl medium pace or fast but he likes to spin it off a two-or-three step run-up.
"Sometimes he gets tonked but other times they come down the track and he bowls them. He's not a bad fielder either and, even though he bats lower down the order, he can get a few runs."
Pete is also All Saints' football captain and has played for York City, York Schoolboys and Heworth as a sweeper or left-sided midfielder.
