Yorkshire Seconds were easily outpointed by Derbyshire in their Second XI Trophy one-day contest at Clifton Park.
The visitors won by seven wickets as Yorkshire failed to post a big enough total on a true pitch and fast outfield and then bowled inadequately to defend their score of 242.
Chris Taylor and Phil Holdsworth both threatened to score heavily but Yorkshire slumped to 129-6 before uncomplicated forceful strokeplay from Doncaster's Chris Gilbert aided by David Wainwright of Castleford gave the Yorkshire score a semblance of competitiveness.
Derbyshire were given a good start by former Duncombe Park batter Travis Friend. The momentum was continued by South African Greg Smith before a century stand from Joe Adnan and Luke Goddard secured victory with over five overs to spare.
