THE question I should should like answering is why our local politicians, such as Hugh Bayley or John Grogan, did not make public the fact that a percentage of York council tenants' rent went to prop up the cost of housing in London and other UK cities (June 23)?
Why they did not mention it before the last General Election. Ha! Ha! What a joke this country is becoming.
Tony Blair refuses to give more money for flood defences in this region.
I wonder if that would be the case if it were Westminster or Downing Street under water?
What a load of gravy-train politicians we have. No wonder no one votes anymore.
