IN reply to your female reader who is fed up of being intimidated by children kicking footballs in the street, please tell her not to be bombarded in her own home.
"Peace-loving" York residents do not have to put up with broken windows and damaged gardens and vehicles, when balls stray.
It is illegal to play football in the street under the Highways Act 1980, so residents who are sick of footballs near their property can call the police to complain and not be continually pestered all summer!
