THE report 'Short changed' (June 23) shows that many think York can support other parts of the country. It seems our well-run city pays for the services of others.
It's the first time I have heard that the constituents and council are a charity - or charitable.
I suggest that our leader, Councillor Steve Galloway, registers as a charity as soon as possible so the citizens of York and surrounding areas can be praised for their contribution to society and the country at large.
