Children at two York schools were served up an Olympic-sized treat when Commonwealth triple jump gold-medallist Julian Golley dropped by.
The elite athlete met youngsters at Haxby Primary School and Heworth Primary School to show off the skills that helped him strike gold in a bid to inspire them to have a go at sport themselves.
The visit was set-up by bakers Warburtons and sports organisation Super Schools to send a joint message of the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
The children also got stuck into samples of a new white bread with wholemeal properties and a low glycaemic index called All In One.
Brian Hubbard, founder of Super Schools, said: "The presence of a major sports star at the schools makes a huge contribution to children's understanding of the importance of taking regular exercise, participating actively in sport, and pursuing a healthy lifestyle.
"It was a brilliant day and it is because of support from businesses such as Warburtons that we are able to continue arranging such activities."
